How much has the real estate market changed in Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita TX

I am asked all the time how bad is the real estate market in our area.  More often than not I have people tell me it is a really bad real estate market without knowing the facts.  Thanks largerly to our gloom and doom media, nationwide generalizations are applied at the local levels.  It is a scary thought if you think about how media influenced the elections, commercials influence our buying patterns (although Tivo and other DVRs will eliminate this channel of marketing at some point, but I am sure companies will find another way to product place in our favorite TV shows), and the cultural and sociological impacts that occur with the content that is spewed across the soon to be digital network (get ready to buy a digital box converter for your TV or chunk the old analog set).  Let’s take an honest look at the numbers including 2007 vs 2008 year-to-date.  The following is a look at the local real estate market, and yes this can be even more specific upon request jeremy@williams4yourhome.com. 

Kingwood Market Area

Those may look bad, but nothing compared to national averages and those markets that got too hot.  Here is an example of how local these numbers can get.  Let’s take a look at the following Eagle Springs vs. Summerwood.  Both developments are by Newland Communities.  Both developments are located within about 7 miles of each other.
