Recent decision by Humble ISD School Board impacting residents of Woodspring Forest in Kingwood, TX By: Jeremy Williams of Keller Williams Realty Northeast (Kingwood, Texas)
In a close decision and as a the result of a single changed vote by Humble ISD school board member, Robert Scarfo, beginning in the Fall 2010 the residents of Woodspring Forest in Kingwood, Texas will be sending their children to different schools. Children currently living in the neighborhood of Woodspring Forest are currently zoned to Deerwood Elementary and Riverwood Middle School. The boundary change will have children living in Woodspring Forest attending Hidden Hollow Elementary and Creekwood Middle School beginning in the Fall of 2010. The reasoning for the move according to the Humble ISD website was overcrowding of Deerwood Elementary and underutilization of Hidden Hollow Elementary. Read more here at the district’s website. Today I attended the Top Flyer Luncheon at Vic and Anthony’s in downtown Houston hosted by Newland Communities - Eagle Springs. The luncheon was attended by Realtors that sold a new home in the Eagle Springs master planned community in 2009. What stood out most to me during the lunch was that Eagle Springs even in the current real estate market sold over 200 homes in 2009, and Eagle Springs also was the number one selling community in all the Houston, TX area.
