What is a market shift?  It is when a inbalence in supply and demand exists.  When there are more homes on the market than buyer demand, this is seen as a buyer’s market.  When the buyer demand exceeds the number of real estate listings on the market, it is a seller’s market.  This easy way to think about a shift to a buyer’s market is when fewer listings are selling, and when more listings are selling a seller’s market.
