Adding additional functionality is always important when servicing clients in the real estate business.  Many real estate websites today miss the point in not making tools readily available to the internet consumer in fear that technology will replace the need for a Realtor.  Not true and another myth that circulates in the industry.  From now on, I will have included at the bottom of each post a property search IDX, a property search by utilizing a mapping tool, a link to featured properties and a school information finder.

The property search IDX pulls information from the Houston Association of Realtors website bringing you the freshest property listing information for the Houston and greater Houston area.  This feature gives you access to over 60,000 Realtor listings.  Search utilizing criteria to narrow down your home search.  Let me know about the homes you might be interested in so I can provide you with additional information about the property including seller’s disclosure notices, home owner’s association information, and other items including or not limited to exclusionary items, special financing terms, etc.

Buyer instant notifications, known as BINS, are a great tool for you to search, save, and note home listings of interest.  This search can be set up within minutes following a consultation either at my office or over the phone.  The search will automatically email you properties that fit your criteria.

East Houston FCA has a full-time staff person that supports over 12 school districts and over 30 campuses (Eric Anderson).  The East Houston Fellowship of Christian Athletes main fundraising event for the year is a golf tournament.  E-mail Brian Johnson to request a brochure for this year’s tournament – the Bruce Matthews’ Celebrity Golf Classic.  There have already been confirmations from several former players and the expectation for some players from Bruce’s Hall of Fame class.

100% of the money donated will go to FCA as there is an underwriter covering all of the golf tournament expenses.  Also, 100% of the money the East Houston Fellowship of Christian Athletes raise will go toward the East Houston area.

Jeremy Wilkerson, owner of Primrose School of Lake Houston, has announced that he is running for a Humble Independent School District Board of Trustees position. Jeremy is married and has four children.  He has lived in Humble ISD for 10 years. Jeremy currently serves on the Board of the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce, Vice-Chair of the HISD Education Foundation and President of FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center.  He has also served on district site-based committees and was Chair of the Education Committee of Humble Area Chamber of Commerce. I believe that each decision being made needs to start with “is it good for the children and how will it benefit the children?”  The decisions need to be first with the children in mind to form a solid foundation for them to grow and flourish. I believe that if we put the children first, the rest will follow. We need to make sure that the HISD School Board is a representation of our community.  It needs members that have a true vested interest not only in our school District, but also in the community. 

I, as a citizen of the HISD, as a parent with children in the HISD and as a business owner in the HISD want to make sure that this community thrives.  A strong school District is a major reason why people choose to move or stay in a community.  That is why I have decided to run for a position on the HISD School Board.  Let’s make sure our children have a voice in decisions made by our Board.
